Where Kids Come First!
We are a salon designed exclusively for young people, from babies to teens. Our child friendly environment takes the stress out of haircuts and instead turns them from a chore into a fun experience. Being child centred means not only having play areas, toys, games, entertainment, and specially themed chairs, but we also want all our clients to feel safe and special – from the moment they walk through our doors until they leave looking forward to their next visit.
After a successful launch in May 2019, we look forward to being an integral part of the local community in Sutton Coldfield. Parents are welcome to bring their children for a look around before their appointment, and please drop in and say hi when passing!!
Here at Hair Play we feel kids should be the focus with a salon built exclusively for them. Many adult hair salons either do not cut children’s hair or do not appreciate it, We are different, our stylists are individually chosen because they love making your little ones feel and look fantastic, all in an environment design exclusively for their pleasing. Absolutely. Many adult dressers see anxious children as an inconvenience, however this is our true. All our staff are fully trained at dealing with anxious cuts, be that first timers, those still unsure after multiple salon trips or even those with additional needs.
Absolutely, a visit to our salon is about more than just a haircut…its an experience, we offer many services which don’t include cuts, including,. Pamper packages, wash and styles, coloured hairsprays and waxes plus much more.
Your little ones first hair cut is a big moment and we love being there for this. We offer basic first hair cuts such as dry trims and fringe trips all the way to our First Haircut package which includes a keep safe lock of the little ones hair in a glass jar, a HairPlay teddy bear, photography, bubbles, certificate and much more. A true favorite amongst our customers and a lovely entrance to the HairPlay service.
Yes, our salon is proud to support the autism community. We understand that children with autism and other sensory needs may have difficulty with haircuts in traditional salons, so we have created a welcoming environment coupled with a team of stylists specially trained to accommodate their needs.
